Moto qui guidonne
Depuis le début, j'ai la moto qui guidonne. Au premier service, le concessionnaire a resseré la colonne de direction. Un petit peu mieux. Je n'y ai plus pensé. En changeant les jantes, le phénomène est revenu de manière plus flagrante.
Discussion avec le concessionnaire et prise sous garantie du remplacement du pneu avant.
Quelques kilomètres et le constat est net. Plus de guidonnage.

La TBird et la rouille

Un test sur Internet montre que l'ACF50 est surclassé par le Tectyl Superwax.

Pour info, voici l'expérience d'un propriétaire de Thunderbird en Angleterre. Après 6 mois à rouler dans des conditions pas toujours optimales, il a constaté que la rouille attaque très rapidement la TBird.
Il utilise un anti-corosif (ACF50). Les parties chromées n'ont pas l'air bien protégées. J'ai mis en gras les parties où il a trouvé un problème.
Le produit est même recommandé et imposé par un constructeur d'hélicos. Je viens d'en commander un litre ;-)

i have be quite surprise how fast my bike has rusted in places, yes in the UK we get bad weather but still i have found things that Triumph have clearly not looked at,
Chrome Parts, i would recommend using a anti corrosive like ACF50 on these items below ASAP.
inside the headlight i found large patched of rust, its not well coated in there, and water gets in from the top rim, if left could rust thorough in less than 3 years easily, next the Rear master cylinder bottle cover, i found rust on the edges of mine, after removing it i was horrified to find it was bare steel on the inside, mine was completely rusted, same for the chrome belt guard, this is also unfinished metal inside.
Next the rear Shocks, the bottom bracket welds rust as well as the inside of the covers, i can see rust through the preload adjustment holes, next the rear pillion pegs rust like hell as well.
all other nuts and bolts, they all go bad after a short time, give them all a good covering.
today i spent 2 hours finishing off fitting my accessories and then spent another stripping these parts off and cleaning and protecting them, i have coated all parts with ACF50, it leaves a good shine to the powder coat as well.
hopefully this will protect these items"
